"An image that tells a story"
This project called for the sampling of a past master's artwork and a retelling.
As a child I loved fairytales and decided to re-tell the original story of the Little Mermaid. At the end of the tale she throws herself into the ocean and dissolves into sea foam. By drawing her body with the same textures as the background I wanted to portray the moment her body begins to decompose and blend into the sea.
